I bought a kite while I was in the Philippines bcuz I want to celebrate her birthday when she goes back to the States. This is her first time flying a kite, she is filled with joy in this photo. She leaves in a few hours, kind of makes me sad saying goodbye to somebody. Enjoy your time with friends! (Taken with Instagram)

“Count the garden by the flowers, never by the leaves that fall. Count your life with smiles and not the tears that roll.” ~Unknown I feel like these flowers on the ground, trampled and tossed around. Today, is one of those days that I reflect about my life with a smile.

“Dana Quintanilla, 28, nuzzles up against her great-grandmother Maria Naputi Mantanona, during a celebration for her and other centenarians on May 9, which coincided with her 102nd birthday. Mantanona and three others, including one in memoriam, were honored. Four 99 year olds were also recognized. The ceremony was organized by the Department of Public Health and Social Services.Division of Senior Citizens and held at St. Dominic’s Senior Care Home in Barrigada Heights.”

I work a lot with the elderly and reading stories like this just makes me appreciate my grandparents, thanks grandma and grandpa.

“For a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.”

~Psalm 40:5

Today is a beautiful morning to appreciate the good things to come. Yesterday is gone, today is a new beginning I’m not a morning person but I love waking up early in the morning feeling all refresh. I’m sure you feel the same way as I do. It’s good feeling don’t you think? This is a feeling of moving on with our past and  starting a new morning.

“A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person”

~ Mignon McLaughlin

[11.21.10]
I agree with this quote, I don’t know what feels like to be married but I know that being married requires COMMITMENT. Like any other love relationship there’s always a test that couples are going experience. At one point it is all puppy love and lovely-dovey but there will be a time when the relationship becomes dry. So what do you do? Do you simply just end the relationship because the sparks are all gone or do you still continue? I think that’s why relationship ends so quickly and the divorces rate is slowly growing because people forget the true meaning of marriage.
I learned from my relationship with God and couples from my church that marriage is all about COMMITMENT, no what your experiencing in your love life you have to keep fighting to save your marriage. There will be a season of challenges where relationship will be tested. Do you still love the person when all the sparks are gone? My thoughts, of course, if God loves us no matter what then we have to keep on loving God no matter what. Which means, if you truly want to have a long lasting relationship, you have to keep loving the person through every single challenges that you face in a relationship. Don’t just simply quite because the fire is gone. It’s going to happen eventually to every relationship that your going to be with so why quit. Just deal with it.
Throughout my Christian journey, I learned that God’s love is always new every single day. Which means there’s more to love about God everyday single day and for the rest of our lives that’s pretty interesting huh? So how this apply to relationship, if you plan to love someday or marry the person whom you will be spending for the rest of your life. Remember that love is new every single that is waiting to be explored. Love requires us to step out of our comfort zone in act of growth and maturity. We still have a lot to learn about love and trust me we will never know the depth of love even though we found somebody that completes us. Love can never be measured and I think that is the beauty of it because we’re not going to last forever. God doesn’t want us to spend our lives to define love. He already made it clear for us to love others and Him alone. Isn’t God awesome?
To the point: So men, keep romanticizing the woman that you love and don’t feel tired her because she could be your soul mate. Most importantly LISTEN to her because COMMUNICATION is very important. It will SAVE your love life. Trust me, when I say this because COMMUNICATION is the key to successful relationship. Communication is not a one way conversation, it is a two conversation. After all, isn’t our relationship with God a two way communication? When you speak do you also listen to him”?
Ladies, give your man a BREAK and help us try to UNDERSTAND when we feel like we don’t get it. We man can’t read your minds because as men we go with the flow knowing that your against the flow. Please be patient with us and pray for us because we cannot function on our own. We need you more than anything but we are just afraid to say it.
NEVER STOP LOVING BECAUSE IT’S WORTH IT
